Description
Assistant Management Accountant
Financial Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and profitability analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Month-end Close: Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Management Reporting: Prepare and distribute management reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide insights into business performance and trends.
Cost Control: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Inventory Management: Assist in the valuation and management of inventory, including periodic stock takes and reconciliations.
Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as required by senior management.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
Job Offer
An attractive salary range of £34,000 - 38,000 per annum.
